The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts held the first ever official National Youth Day Commemoration in Kitwe District of the Copperbelt Province. It was a memorable and joyful event which was graced by the Republican President of Zambia Mr. Hakainde Hichilema. The Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts was accompanied by his Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Kangwa Chileshe (PS -Youth and Sports) and Mr. Chama Fumba (PS- Arts).
The youths matched from Wusakile roundabout to Arthur Davies Stadium where a colorful Youth Carnival took place. Youths from different sectors turned up in huge numbers. The carnival had amazing performances from Chanda na Kay and other aspiring artists.
The Minister thanked all the youths across the country for coming out in thousands to celebrate their day.
