Zambian Judoka’s Steven Mung’andu and Simon Zulu win GOLD medals at the Dakar African Open 2023 in Senegal.

Reacting to this news NOCZ President Alfred Foloko who is also President for the Judo Association of Zambia has congratulated Mung’andu and Zulu for their stellar performances to win Gold in the -66 KG and -60KG weight categories.

“Christmas has come early for Zambia Judo and what a way to conclude the 2023 competition year by both athletes,” he said.

Foloko also revealed that both Athletes will be coming to Zambia for holidays after this victory and will continue preparing for the 2024 competitions that will also act as qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games while in the Country before heading back to their base in Hungary.
