President Hakainde Hichilema has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to amplifying youth voices, urging young people to use their energy and platforms for national development.

Addressing thousands of enthusiastic youths who turned up in large numbers at Mongu Stadium to commemorate National Youth Day under the theme “Voices Amplified and Innovations Ignited,” President Hichilema emphasized the importance of responsible social media use, encouraging young people to leverage digital platforms for personal and national growth rather than misuse them.

“Youth voices matter. When you speak, your government listens,” the President assured, underscoring his administration’s dedication to creating opportunities and addressing youth concerns.

He further encouraged students to remain focused on their education and avoid distractions that could derail their future success.

“As young people, your education is a powerful tool. Stay committed to learning and avoid activities that may compromise your potential,” he advised.

President Hichilema also called on young people to be ambassadors of peace and unity, discouraging them from being used by individuals with ill intentions to disrupt the country’s harmony.
